Authorities in Bloomington are investigating the deaths of four individuals found in a residence on North Lee Street. The Bloomington Police Department and the McLean County Coroner’s Office confirmed the fatalities and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Bloomington police officers responded to the scene on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at approximately 10:59 a.m. after receiving a call for a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers discovered four deceased individuals inside the home and immediately requested assistance from the department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the McLean County Coroner’s Office.
The identities of the deceased have not been released, pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy is scheduled to provide further insight into the cause of death.
Preliminary findings suggest that the incident was isolated, and authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat. Bloomington Police Chief Jamal Simington expressed condolences to the victims’ families and the community, stating, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives today. Our detectives continue to diligently investigate this unfortunate incident in an effort to get some answers for the victims’ loved ones and our community.”
