A much-needed addition to McLean County’s childcare landscape is on the way. The Farmhouse Early Learning and Development Center has broken ground on its new facility at the corner of General Electric Road and North Hershey Road, aiming to provide inclusive childcare and early education for local families.
Founded by longtime childcare provider Molly Robinson, The Farmhouse is designed to address the area’s childcare shortage, particularly for children with special needs. The 10,000-square-foot center will feature seven classrooms, an onsite clinic for early intervention specialists, and a natural outdoor play space. A partnership with Ivy Rehab for Kids will allow for additional therapy services.
“Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where all children, regardless of ability, can grow and thrive together,” said Robinson.
The Farmhouse is expected to open this fall, pending final licensing. Enrollment is set to begin mid-summer, with job opportunities available for childcare professionals. Families can stay updated by following The Farmhouse on social media.
