The USA Ice Cross Association is bringing ice-fueled chaos indoors this spring as the Indoor Ice Cross Series launches its most intense event yet on April 30, 2025, at Grossinger Motors Arena — with a $7,500 cash prize on the line.
The Pioneer and Founder
The visionary behind this event is Tim Cimmer, the Audacious Cowboy. A former hockey prodigy from Saskatchewan, Canada, his journey from Ice Cross champion to founder of the World Ice Cross League is nothing short of inspirational. Cimmer’s innovative approach transformed Ice Cross from a niche winter activity into a global phenomenon.
After Red Bull discontinued their Ice Cross events, Cimmer founded the World Ice Cross League in Finland in 2014. His goal was to make the sport more accessible, which led to registering Ice Cross with the European Union and launching efforts to have it recognized as an Olympic sport.
By bringing the sport indoors, Cimmer opened the door to a wider audience — allowing everyone from children to professional athletes to experience the thrill. His commitment to inclusivity and community building was on full display during the first-ever indoor Ice Cross competition at Merlis Belsher Place in Saskatoon, which was met with overwhelming enthusiasm.
Through determination, creativity, and unparalleled tenacity, Cimmer brought Ice Cross indoors, creating a new path for the sport — one that welcomes everyone brave enough to take on the ice.

The Stars on Ice
Taking to the course is Dylan Moriarity, one-half of the legendary Turbo Twins. The dynamic duo burst onto the Ice Cross scene in 2013, debuting at the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Niagara Falls. Known for their fearless style and high-octane energy, the Turbo Twins quickly became icons in the sport.
In 2015, Dylan secured his first major victory at the Riders Cup in Sherbrooke, Quebec — a defining moment in the pair’s rise.
But the story didn’t end on the track. Dylan and his brother Dean took their skills to the global stage, joining Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal — the company’s first-ever ice-based production. Showcasing their extreme skating in a theatrical setting, the Turbo Twins performed in 19 countries and 131 cities, proving their versatility and global appeal.
Now, Dylan returns to the competitive scene, ready to face off with the Audacious Cowboy and a new wave of elite athletes — bringing with him not just experience, but a legacy of speed, showmanship, and international acclaim.
