Memorial Day wall remains on display
The Memorial Day 2025 Wall of Remembrance remains on display at the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield.
Illinois Senate Republicans unveiled the tribute Thursday. The wall includes photos and remembrances that cycle on a large screen in the Capitol rotunda.
The public can visit the wall during regular Capitol business hours through June 6.
Illinois most expensive for summer road trip
A new study ranks Illinois as the worst state in the contiguous U.S. for an affordable summer road trip.
Dunhill Travel placed Illinois 48 out of 48 due mainly to the state’s high gas prices and lodging costs. The report ranked Mississippi as the best state for an affordable road trip, followed by Arkansas and North Carolina.
