McLean County Sheriff’s Lt. Jon Albee has officially announced his candidacy for sheriff in the 2026 Republican primary election.
Albee has served with the McLean County Sheriff’s Office since 2010, holding a wide range of roles including Deputy Sheriff, K9 Handler, Patrol Sergeant, and most recently, Lieutenant of Support Services.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Central State University and is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.
