I am proud to share that the Normal Police Department has once again achieved re-accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). This prestigious recognition affirms our ongoing commitment to excellence, professionalism, and service to the citizens of Normal. This is the Normal Police Department’s 10th CALEA Re-Accreditation Award with Excellence.
This accomplishment reflects the daily efforts of our entire staff—sworn officers, professional staff, and support personnel—who live our core values of Integrity, Professionalism, Engagement, and Wellness. Your commitment to doing what is right, serving with skill and respect, building strong connections with our community, and taking care of yourselves and one another makes this honor possible.
I would like to give special recognition to Accreditation Manager Jessica Ryan for her exceptional dedication during this accreditation cycle. Her attention to detail, leadership, and unwavering focus on meeting CALEA’s rigorous standards were instrumental to our success. Jessica’s work truly embodies the best of our values and serves as an example to us all.
I would also like to thank our Town administration and elected officials for their steadfast support. Your partnership and investment in our mission have been vital to maintaining the resources, training, and tools necessary to meet CALEA’s standards.
