The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) is proud to announce its placement on Pollstar’s Top 200 Theaters Worldwide for ticket sales through the third quarter of 2025.
With just 1,166 seats, the BCPA continues to shine on the international stage, ranking alongside much larger and more well-known venues. This year marks the Center’s highest ranking to date, an achievement made possible by the continued support of audiences and the Bloomington community.
In this quarter’s ranking, the BCPA placed just one spot behind the Fox Theatre in Detroit (a 5,048-seat venue) and several positions ahead of the Coronado Performing Arts Center in Rockford (2,400 seats).
“This recognition is a true testament to the passion of our audiences, the dedication of our staff, and the cultural vibrancy of Bloomington,” said Anthony Nelson, Director of Arts and Entertainment for the City of Bloomington. “We’re honored to be included on this list and excited to continue bringing world-class performances to our community.”
The BCPA extends its heartfelt thanks to all patrons, artists, and supporters who made this recognition possible.
“This recognition reflects the incredible work of our Arts and Entertainment staff, led by Director Anthony Nelson. Their creativity, professionalism, and commitment have elevated the BCPA to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with world-renowned venues, and their efforts are making life better for everyone in our community. I am grateful for all they do to bring unforgettable experiences to Bloomington,” said Mayor Dan Brady.
“The BCPA’s success shows the heart of Bloomington. We may be a mid-sized city, but we come together to celebrate the arts at a world-class level. Seeing the BCPA recognized alongside legendary venues is inspiring and a reminder of what a supportive and creative community can achieve. I am proud of the Arts & Entertainment team and thankful for everyone who fills those seats and keeps live entertainment thriving here.”
