The Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington-Normal will gain a new warm-weather destination next year as Allegiant Airlines launches seasonal nonstop service to Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport. Flights begin Feb. 13, 2026, and will operate twice weekly.
Airport officials say the new route expands Allegiant’s offerings at CIRA, where the low-fare carrier has served travelers since 2012 with flights to several popular Florida destinations. Airport Authority Chair Alan Sender said the added service reflects strong local demand for affordable travel options to Arizona.
Tickets for the Phoenix–Mesa route are already on sale. Travelers can find schedules and fares at CIRA.com/allegiant.
CIRA currently offers service on Allegiant, American, and Delta with nonstop flights to Orlando/Sanford and Tampa/St. Pete, along with global connections through Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, and Dallas–Fort Worth. The airport touts free parking, easy access, and a convenient location off Route 9 in Bloomington.
