Assistant Chief Nick Thacker of the Normal Police Department has graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, completing the program as a member of the 296th session.
The prestigious 11-week academy provides advanced training in leadership, communication and physical fitness, drawing top law enforcement leaders from around the world. Thacker was among 254 participants representing 47 states, the District of Columbia, 24 international countries, multiple branches of the U.S. military and federal agencies.
Normal Police Chief Steve Petrilli said Thacker’s achievement reflects the highest standards of professionalism and public service, adding that his advanced training will strengthen the department’s leadership and operational effectiveness. Thacker has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience and now joins more than 56,000 FBI National Academy graduates worldwide.
