United Airlines will begin multiple daily nonstop flights from Central Illinois Regional Airport (CIRA) to Chicago O’Hare starting May 7, 2026, restoring service between Bloomington-Normal and the airline’s primary Midwest hub.
The schedule will feature four daily flights, seven days a week, providing travelers with expanded access to United’s global network of more than 220 destinations. Tickets go on sale January 29.
“We are thrilled to increase connectivity between Bloomington-Normal and Chicago,” said United Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning Mark Weithofer. “This service gives travelers greater access to our extensive domestic and international network.”
CIRA Airport Authority Chair Alan Sender said the new flights will provide greater convenience and flexibility for regional travelers, making air travel more accessible and efficient.
