On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Eswin Ixcotoyac was arrested on seven felony counts in connection with a sexual abuse investigation.
The investigation began in November 2025 when a report was made to a Bloomington Police Department patrol officer. According to the report, Eswin contacted a juvenile female through a social media platform in July 2025. He allegedly portrayed himself as a sixteen-year-old to convince the juvenile to meet with him in person. After meeting in person, he allegedly committed acts that constituted sexual abuse of the juvenile.
The juvenile later learned Eswin was an adult, and a report was filed with police.
The case was referred to our Criminal Investigations Division. Due to the age of the victim, detectives worked closely with the Children’s Advocacy Center to conduct a forensic interview and ensure proper support services were provided.
Eswin was interviewed and arrested on March 11.
