Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s campaign canceled a get out the vote event Sunday in Belleville because of extreme weather.
PRITZKER ESTABLISHES WORKFORCE GROUP
Gov. J.B. Pritzker has signed an executive order to create a working group tasked with evaluating the state’s workforce and training needs.
According to a statement from the governor’s office, the Illinois State Attainment Working Group will collaborate with an external partner to conduct an economic and labor market analysis, projecting workforce needs through 2040 and informing the state’s next attainment goal.
ST. PATRICK’S DAY LAW ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS
The Illinois Department of Transportation and more than 200 law enforcement agencies have St. Patrick’s Day enforcement and awareness efforts scheduled into the early hours of March 23.
On St. Patrick’s Day from 2020 through 2024, IDOT data shows Illinois recorded 3,315 crashes, including 10 fatal incidents involving alcohol or cannabinoids.
