The 9th Annual Seats for Soldiers event at the Corn Crib in Normal has wrapped up it 36-hour live broadcast and we thank our community for its support of Central Illinois veterans!
Cities 92.9 and its sister stations, along with sponsors CEFCU, Miller Lite, and Vision Point , are still counting donations raised during the 36-hour event, which benefits VFW Post 454 and its programs serving veterans throughout the region. Organizers say donations will continue to be accepted through July 31.
The annual event invited supporters to “save a seat” with an American flag or make a monetary donation, with all proceeds helping VFW Post 454 provide assistance to veterans from all branches of the military. Organizers expressed their appreciation to everyone who participated and helped make the ninth annual fundraiser another success.
