A 35-year-old Normal woman was arrested for DUI and reckless driving after a high-speed, single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on East Raab Road near Trumbull Avenue.
Normal police said the vehicle left the roadway around 3:18 p.m. and struck two utility poles, snapping both and causing power lines to block Raab Road in both directions. Two people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Police identified the driver as Awjelique C. Callahan, 35, of Normal. She was arrested on initial charges of DUI and reckless driving.
