A Flood Warning remains in effect for McLean County until 6 p.m. today following 2 to 4 inches of heavy rainfall from thunderstorms.
Flooding is occurring or expected along rivers, creeks and streams, with numerous roads already closed. Additional closures are possible as water levels continue to rise, particularly in low-lying areas around Colfax, Saybrook, Bellflower, Arrowsmith, Cropsey and Anchor.
Officials are reminding motorists to never drive through flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown, and monitor local weather and emergency updates for changing conditions.
