(The Center Square) – Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is scheduled to join Texas Democrats at a press conference in Dallas on Wednesday.
In August 2025, Pritzker welcomed 40 Democratic state lawmakers to Illinois after they absconded in protest against a congressional redistricting bill put forth by Texas Republicans.
Pritzker is the honorary chair of a new political action committee to support Democratic Party candidates and organizations.
An announcement from Abudayyeh Rubin Communications Strategies said Ready for the Fight PAC would ensure Democrats competing in districts won by President Donald Trump would have the resources to fight MAGA candidates.

The court said SRLs now make up about 50% of filings.
IDNR TO ACCEPT BIDS FOR AGRICULTURAL LEASES
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says it will accept sealed bids this fall for about 40 agricultural lease contracts for crop years 2027-2031.
The IDNR said the leases will promote ecologically sound agricultural practices to improve soil health, minimize soil erosion, improve water quality and reduce chemical impacts to benefit wildlife populations and their habitats.
IDNR sites with leases open for bid will be publicly announced on the state’s BidBuy procurement system.
