Several streets and parking areas in Uptown Normal will be closed Saturday, September 26, for the annual Day of Play festival.
The event, presented by PNC and hosted by the Children’s Discovery Museum, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offers free activities designed to encourage children and families to play and learn together.
The following areas will be posted as no-parking zones after 2 a.m. Saturday and closed to traffic beginning at 5 a.m.:
- North Street from Fell Avenue to the Uptown Circle, including the Broadway and North Street intersection
- East Beaufort Street from Linden Street to the Uptown Circle
- Constitution Boulevard
- East Beaufort Street Alley between Pizza Payaa and Insomnia Cookies
The streets are expected to reopen as soon as it is safe following the event, around 4:30 p.m.
