
No ICE Dwight is staging a protest rally ahead of tonight’s village board meeting where a vote is expected to approve annexing land near I-55 and and Route 17 for the construction of a detention center for illegal immigrants. Dwight Mayor Jared Anderson says if the detention center get built, it would create hundreds of high-paying jobs for the community and the detainees will receive more comfortable conditions and access to immigration law books and iPads and tablets.
