There’s now a proposal to punish drivers who do not move over for state troopers with felony charges. State Rep. John Cabello introduced the idea yesterday at the statehouse. Under Cabello’s plan, any driver who hits a trooper would lose their license for five years and face up to ten years in prison. Simply refusing to move over could land someone in prison for three years. Lawmakers have not yet voted on the proposal.
