
The Illinois House passed legislation Wednesday allowing people to identify themselves as neither male nor female on their driver’s licenses. The passed the House on a 67-38 vote. The bill, sponsored by state Rep. Anne Stava-Murray (D-Naperville), allows people to identify as “non-binary” on their driver’s license, in addition to male or female. The bill would also require all local governments to offer a “non-binary” option on forms and documents. The bill now heads to the Senate
