A 23-year-old woman is suing a Peoria hospital, claiming officials there pressured her to have an abortion after a medical mistake. After seeking treatment for a medication issue in 2017, Reneizha Morris was mistakenly injected with Methotrexate, which causes severe birth defects when given to pregnant women. A UnityPoint Health-Methodist spokesperson refused to comment on pending litigation.
