Central Illinois schools are updating safety measures and active shooter drills. A new amendment to the School Safety Drill Act requires schools to complete an active shooter drill within the first 90 days of the school year. Students must be in the building, all school personnel must participate, and local law enforcement agencies must be present to observe.
