The Bloomington City Council has approved $5 million in contracts to resurface 18 streets and one alley and to repair some sidewalks. The Pantagraph quotes Public Works Director Jim Karch as saying the work should start in May.
The Bloomington City Council this week awarded sole bidder Rowe Construction a $4.2 million contract for general resurfacing; low bidder McLean County Asphalt Inc. a $156,904 contract for street, alley and sidewalk maintenance; low bidder Was Con Co. a $696,040 contract for sidewalk and curb ramp replacements; and low bidder We Fix Sidewalks LLC a $10,255 contract to repair sidewalks with uneven adjoining panels.
