New information is being released about the death of an eight-year-old girl as the victim of alleged abuse. Cynthia Baker, also known as Cynthia Clay, is the girlfriend of victim Rica Rountree’s father, Richard Rountree. Cynthia was indicted Wednesday by a McLean County Grand Jury for murder, aggravated battery of a child, and aggravated domestic battery. The indictments claim that Cynthia intentionally kicked Rica without justification and with intent to do great bodily harm. Rica was taken to the hospital for treatment January 25th and died the following day as a result of her injuries.
