Strong storms are expected to impact much of the state on Memorial Day and going into to Tuesday. Weather experts say much of central Illinois could face storms packing damaging winds, large hail, torrential rain and even tornadoes. Locations along the I-72 corridor and northward are under the greatest threat. Storms over the weekend flattened fences, toppled trees and damaged houses in the Champaign-Urbana area.
