Connect Transit leaders said Tuesday they look forward to a chance to address the Normal City Council soon — even with their annual budget potentially hanging in the balance. The Pantagraph reports Board Chair Mike McCurdy and General Manager Isaac Thorne said they’re willing and hope to be able to speak June 17 after council member Karyn Smith floated rejecting the bus system’s budget, which begins July 1, if the council isn’t satisfied by their defense of upcoming route and fare changes.
