Legislation aimed at diversifying corporate boards in Illinois isn’t going to include a mandate for minority representation. The bill would have required Illinois companies to have at least one woman, an African-American and a Latino on their boards. The latest version mandates only that publicly traded companies report the demographics of their boards on their websites.
