Regardless of the outcome of accused kidnapper and killer Brendt Christensen’s criminal trial, he may face more legal action in a civil suit. Christensen was named along with two University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign social workers in a lawsuit being filed by the estate of Yingying Zhang. Christensen’s attorney’s are blaming failures by the U of I mental health system for Zhang’s death.
