More than 50 protesters gathered Saturday afternoon in front of the state Capitol to call on Congress to open an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
The protest comes months after the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election.
While most attending the protest, organized by anti-Trump groups like Indivisible and Resistor Sisterhood, acknowledged the uphill climb to remove Trump from office, they said impeachment was still important to hold Trump accountable and make clear that his actions were not acceptable.
