Cynthia Baker, 41, of Bloomington (a.k.a.) Cynthia Clay, will go to trial Oct. 15 on charges of fatally beating her boyfriend’s 8-year-old daughter Rica Rountree on January 26.
Baker is charged with murder and aggravated battery. She is accused of kicking the girl in the abdomen causing fatal injuries.
A judge moved the trial date of July 22 to the October calendar due to the unavailability of a key witness.
