
On Sunday July 28, 2019, just after 9 p.m., Officers from the Normal Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of South Linden for an armed robbery that had just occurred.
Officers located a male victim cab driver who had been robbed at gunpoint by a fare. The victim was dropping off the 2 suspects, both black males in their 20’s, at an address in the 200 block of South Linden. As they arrived at this location, one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money from the victim.
During the incident the victim was struck multiple times before he was able to escape to safety as the suspects fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim’s injuries didn’t require medical attention.
