Brittney Mikesell took a plea deal and will serve two consecutive nine-year sentences for aggravated battery.
Mikesell was found guilty of two counts of aggravated battery. The murder and mob action charges she was facing were dropped in the plea deal.
According to WGLT, Mikesell was facing murder charges in the death of her boyfriend Cullen Hedrick, who died in December 2017. The two went to a Bloomington trailer park where they ran into a third person, who said he stabbed Hedrick in self defense.
The third person was never charged.
