Illinois State University police sent a crime advisory alert to students Wednesday night about an alleged sexual assault on campus. Police say a male student allegedly sexually assaulted a female student after persuading her to come to his dorm room in Wilkins Hall around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night. The alert says the students only communicated by social media before the alleged incident. Police say the suspect constantly sent messages to the victim until she finally agreed to meet with him in person. The ISU Police Department says there is still an active investigation.
