A trial date of November 12 has been set for Jose D. Rodriguez–the man accused in the June 22 fatal hit-and-run crash that killed Corey Cottrell, 39, of Normal.
The Pantagraph reports he was brought to his status hearing Friday from a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Wisconsin.
Rodriguez has been in ICE custody since his release from the McLean County jail on bond Aug. 11.
Rodriguez is charged with failure to report a crash that resulted in a death and disregarding a traffic control device.
