A local cheerleading coach and teacher has been pulled from the classroom and relieved of his coaching duties following an alleged incident at a hotel in LaSalle County that may have involved a juvenile.
Andrew “Drew” Miller was relieved of his competitive cheer coach duties at University High School in Normal and was also placed on paid administrative leave Sept. 6 from his job at Unit 5’s Chiddix Junior High School, where he taught seventh grade language arts and science and coached track and field, said Unit 5.
An investigation is underway into an incident involving Miller that allegedly happened in July at Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Resort in Utica.
