Perhaps the bigger question is, “should they part ways?”
The Unit 5 school board is certainly considering it.
Parents have often complained over the years about late First Student contracted buses, or no buses at all leaving their kids stranded at stops.
The board has simply had it with all those problems along with the driver shortages and poor communication with parents and First Student.
The attorney for the McLean County Unit 5 School District says they are looking to begin the request for proposal process to allow other companies to bid for a contract.
