Rivian is hosting a community event Sunday, October 13, from 1:00 PM through 4:00 PM. Rivian vehicles will be displayed in Uptown Circle in Normal, Illinois. We’ll have a temporary storefront displaying Rivian history and plant photos at One Uptown Circle.
Their goal is to showcase Rivian vehicles, technology, plant news, and employment opportunities in Normal, Illinois. You’ll be able to meet Rivian staff and see the R1T pickup and the R1S SUV in person. You’ll also have a chance to check out the Rivian skateboard technology our vehicles are built on, and get first access to photos of – and news about – progress inside their plant.
The Open House will be hosted by Rivian employees from the Normal plant and from all over the country, plus Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe and our recruiting team.
Parking is available at the public parking garage at Uptown Station; EV charging is available there. Attendees using public transportation should use the Uptown Station bus stop. Cyclists will find bike racks in the parking structure at Uptown Station.
Normal’s experienced workforce, existing plant infrastructure, and beautiful location made the city a natural home for them. Rivian excited to build our electric adventure vehicles in collaboration with this community.
