
On October 9, 2019, at 7:13 a.m., officers of the Normal Police Department responded to the Savannah
Green subdivision on a report of two black males burglarizing vehicles. Upon arrival, officers were
assisted by nearby citizens in locating the suspects. When an officer attempted to contact the suspects,
they fled on foot and after a brief foot chase, both suspects were taken into custody.
Officers made contact with several victims of Vehicle Burglary in the area and stolen property from the
burglaries was recovered from one suspect. The individuals were arrested and today were charged with
the following alleged criminal acts;
Kajuan D. Hopson, 21 year old male from Normal, was charged with 5 counts of Felon in Possession
of a Firearm, 2 counts of Possession of Firearm with out a FOID Card and 1 count of Resisting a Police
Officer. Hopson was armed with two handguns at the time of his arrest and is being held at the McLean
County Jail on a bond of $200,000, 10% applies.
Koebe R. Harris, 21 year old male from Bloomington was charged with 1 count of Burglary, 1 count of
Resisting a Police Officer, 2 counts Felon in Possession of a Firearm and 2 counts of Possession of
Firearm without a FOID Card. Harris is being held at the McLean County Jail on a bond of $75.500, 10% aaplies.
