A 10, 11 and 13-year-old were arrested for armed robbery in Decatur.
Police say the youngsters tried to steal a victim’s bicycle at gunpoint with a silver and black gun.
A struggle ensued over the bicycle, but the suspects were unable to steal it.
A detective in the area saw the three children riding on bicycles eastbound on Grand at Clinton. Officials say they tried to escape the detective before a pursuit ensued on foot.
All three were taken into custody and were identified by the victim during a street show-up.
Police say the silver and black gun was found in a backyard in the 1100 block of E. Walnut and was identified as a BB gun replica of a 9mm semi-automatic model.
The victim of the incident was not injured.
