Authorities are working on living arrangements for a nine-year-old Goodfield boy charged with five murders. A decision was made during a protective custody hearing Friday in Woodford County that the boy would remain with foster parents for the near future. The placement will continue while the court figures out whether he can return to his father over the course of the next year. The boy’s two young half-siblings, his 69-year-old great-grandmother, a two-year-old cousin, and his mother’s boyfriend all died in a fire the boy is accused of intentionally setting. His mother survived the fire but has given up her parental rights to her son.
