The Illinois Senate has voted in favor of a bill that aims to put a cap on insulin prices in the state for diabetes patients.
The bill, Senate Bill 667, sponsored by Senator Andy Manar, will cap co-payments of insulin at $100 per month for all patients, regardless of the supply they require.
However, the cap would only apply to commercial insurance plans regulated by the state.
