The woman killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on West Washington Street, just east of Bloomington Heights Road, Bloomington, Friday night has been identified as Gina R. Jesse, 55, of Bloomington.
At approximately 1933 hours, December 27, 2019, McLean County Coroner’s Office received notification of a death at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center Emergency Room.
Jesse was pronounced deceased at 1921 hours, December 27, 2019. Toxicology results are pending.
Preliminary autopsy findings indicate that Mrs. Jesse died from blunt force injuries of the chest due to an automobile collision, reportedly sustained as the driver and sole occupant of the car that struck another car.
This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the McLean County Sheriff’s Department.
