The Bloomington Police Department says it plans to add more public safety cameras.
Police say the cameras have assisted in solving over 40 crimes, including shootings, robberies, stabbings, and homicides.
The department wants to add five to seven cameras per year at strategic locations. There are currently eight clearly visible and marked cameras in the city.
