Joint Media Release with the McLean County Coroner’s Office
On Tuesday, 1-21-20, at approximately 10:49 p.m., the Bloomington Police Department and Bloomington Fire Department were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on West Market Street west of Brock Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had ran off of Market Street and crashed in a ditch.
Officers located the occupants of the crash. One passenger, an adult male, was uninjured from the crash. The female driver appeared to be seriously injured.
Pending the arrival of Bloomington Fire and Rescue, officers attempted life saving measures on the driver, later identified as 41-year-old Kelli J. Roseberry (formerly Liming) of Bloomington, Illinois. Ms. Roseberry was transported to Advocate BroMenn Emergency Department by Bloomington Fire and Rescue personnel. Ms. Roseberry was later pronounced deceased at Advocate BroMenn Emergency Department by the McLean County Coroner’s Office at 11:30 p.m.
Bloomington’s Criminal Investigation’s Division, Crime Scene Unit, and Accident Reconstruction Team arrived shortly after the accident to assist in the traffic crash investigation.
An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, 01-22-20. McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder issued the preliminary cause of death as cervical spinal injuries due to an automobile crash. Toxicology results are pending.
