
McLean County sheriff’s police said early Saturday they had captured handcuffed suspect Thomas Benge and that he has been taken back into custody.
Benge is now being held at the McLean County jail.
Benge reportedly fled from the sheriff’s office lobby in downtown Bloomington in handcuffs at about 1:50 p.m. Friday and was last seen just north of the Law and Justice Center at 104 W. Front St.
According to McLean County court records, Benge faces felony drug possession charges and driving on a suspended license.
