Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White says all state government offices will be closed to the public because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The closures will take effect today and last through the end of March. The order includes Driver Services facilities statewide. Expiration dates will be extended by thirty days for driver’s licenses, ID cards, vehicle registrations and other transactions and document filings.
White is joining a growing list of states calling for the delay of the October 1st federal REAL ID deadline.
