MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — A second Illinois lawmaker is setting his sights on filing a lawsuit against Governor JB Pritzker’s extension of the Stay-at-Home order, according to ABC TV affiliate WTVO.
Representative John Cabello, R-Machesney Park, tells WTVO his lawsuit will differ from the one filed by Rep. Darren Bailey, R-Xenia.
Rep. Cabello claims his lawsuit, which he hasn’t filed yet, will not apply only to him, but to anyone.
On Monday, a judge granted a temporary restraining order to the extension of the stay-at-home order after a lawsuit was filed by Rep. Bailey. That ruling only applies to Rep. Bailey.
Governor Pritzker filed an appeal to the judge’s ruling on Tuesday.
