A lawmaker is refusing to wear a mask during the latest special session and was removed from the temporary House floor.
Twelve lawmakers opposed a rule change yesterday requiring masks, but only Representative Darren Bailey refused to comply. Lawmakers voted 81 to 27 to kick Bailey out of the Bank of Springfield Center, where the House is temporarily meeting.
Bailey is in a court battle with Governor J.B. Pritzker over the extended emergency order.
