Governor JB Pritzker, D-Illinois, released industry-specific guidelines for the safe reopening of businesses during Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan.
The DCEO and The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) also released a common set of standards all businesses must follow.
Guidelines included wearing face masks, social distancing, and working from home when able to do so.
A toolkit that includes signs, training checklists, and other resources is available for download.
According to the Governor’s office, Phase 3 is expected to bring around 700,000 Illinois residents back to the workplace.
Phase 3 allows for the reopening of retail, offices, manufacturing, barbershops, and salons, summer programs, various outdoor recreation activities, and bars and restaurants for outdoor dining.
