After attempting to enter Eastland Mall at several entrances to no avail – even leaving the mall premises at one point – rioters and looters were able to divert police and get in the Mall’s west Kohl’s entrance. Law enforcement responded quickly using tear gas and making several arrests. Some looters did get away with merchandise.

At least one person was arrested late last night after looters broke into Kohl’s at Eastland Mall. Police say Rent-A-Center on W. Market Street in Bloomington and Monster Pawn, on South Main Street.in Normal, also both were broken into during the second night of violence in Bloomington/Normal.
